- Forty firefighters from four agencies including Waterville, Winslow, Fairfield and Oakland Fire Departments, responded to a house fire on Oak Street in Waterville Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.
- The newest edition to the family. A toddler cries while trying to nap on the family’s one bed as his new foster brother tries to calm him. The toddler’s mother died while mining rocks in the quarry. She had strep and died from complications only days before.

- Ryan Schuman stands in what use to be the living room of his mobil home that was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning in Oakland Tuesday afternoon. Schuman barely made it out of the home and was LifeFlight to a hospital in Bangor where he was later released with burns to his hands, feet and back.

Thanks so much Kent. I really appreciate your nice words…it means a lot coming from such a great photojournalist. I really admire your work. I did not enter my work in any comps this year aside from the NPPA’s MNCC . I missed the deadlines for POY and BOP.
